blooms.

it's peony season!

i was feeling a bit mopey about coming back to saint louis after being away in chicago for the week. to my surprise and delight i came home to sunshine, summer weather and gorgeous white peonies blooming in my backyard.

instant smile.

just landed in chicago! it's gorgeous up here and spring us full bloom!

it's going to be a fantastic week of art, catching up with old friends and exploring the city.

this little lady is thrilled because of the loufest line-up announced on wednesday. and guess who already has tickets because of her totally awesome friend eric? yep, moi.

my ultimate girl-crush zooey deschanel will be in the STL august heat playing with m. ward (squeal!)

this girl can sing, act, has a sweet pad AND is a fashion maven. does it get any better than that?

small stakes.

after recently moving into a new apartment, i have been thinking about new/different wall decor. i've been a fan of small stakes studio for a while now.

they have the best collection of music posters from a bunch of my favorite bands.

have you seen these new abstract expressionist stamps?! i love the clyfford still, mark rothko and joan mitchell ones.

and they are HUGE.

we're talking 2" x 2.5" on that pollock stamp. now that makes a statement.

the king and queen of hearts are my other go-to favorites that i just keep buying. they were designed by a NYC graphic designer based on french playing cards.
